Food shopping

The town has a number of food shops, including a greengrocer, two butchers and a bakery, all in the Market Place.

A larger Co-op supermarket can be found on the left as you leave the town towards Brough. Monday - Saturday closing time is 10pm, 4pm on Sunday.

For even later at night try the Co-op convenience store in Market Street or the Spar in the High Street, south of the main town centre.

Tebay Services, near Junction 38 on the M6, has two farm shops on the north and southbound service areas. The Westmorland Farm Shops have an excellent range of locally sourced produce as well as lamb and beef from their own farm. It's a good place to stock up on your arrival in the area. Open 7am - 11pm, 7 days a week.

Banks
Barclays has a branch in the town centre, with a service till. There is also an ATM at the main Co-op supermarket.
